Book Fair!

The Scholastic Book Fair is in the house at Hogansville Elementary! Friday is the last day to shop!

Book Fairs help schools inspire a lifelong love of reading in children, and they give students access to affordable, popular books. They encourage reading, which leads to success inside and outside the classroom. Pictured are Sofia Fores, Trenton Harris, and Media Assistant Shelia Carlisle

Be a Bucket Filler!

Congratulations!

Mrs. Carolyn Spraggins is Hogansville Elementary's Teacher of the Month for September.

Mrs. Spraggins grew up in West Point, Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters Degree in Education, emphasis on Differentiated Instruction. This is her 15th year teaching (second year at Hogansville Elementary, and the other 13 in her home state of Mississippi). All of those years have been in 3rd, 4th or 5th grade.

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her husband, 4 children, and 6 grandchildren. They like attending sporting events and traveling.

"I am honored to be nominated as September’s Teacher of the Month. I feel privileged to be called a “teacher”. It has always been my life dream and I am honored to teach at Hogansville Elementary School. I was inspired to become a teacher by my fourth grade teacher, and several family members who taught the profession."
