SonicWall rating / Website reconsideration
There are many websites that have not been "rated" by SonicWall, our web filter. To get a rating for a website you need, please folllow the steps below.
TIP:
To open a link in a new tab or window, right-click on the link and
make your selection.
Go to http://cfssupport.sonicwall.com/Support/web/eng/newui/viewRating.jsp.
The next screen will have whether the site has a rating or is unrated. If it is unrated, you can click on the link that says Rating Request.
When you click, you will get a new screen that asks for the website URL (which you can type or paste in the blank), your e-mail address (so that you receive communications when the website is live) and a drop-down category where you select the category for your website.
Click the Submit button and in 3-5 business days you will receive an e-mail that your website has been reviewed and has been rated.
If there is a website that has ALREADY BEEN RATED but you want to have it blocked or unblocked, here are the steps:
Fill out the Website Reconsideration Request Form [doc] [pdf]
Select Open.
Read the directions carefully.
Click in the boxes to fill out the form. (You can minimize the form to get the URL of the site in question.)
Print it out.
Get the required signatures.
Send it to Jane Logan at the Operations Center.
The request will be considered by the ad hoc committee (with which you and your supervisor will be required to meet) and you will be notified of their decision.
The form must be filled out COMPLETELY to be considered by the
committee. Please read the directions at the top of the form
carefully. (Use your browser's BACK button to return to this page
after printing the form.)
