Whether they were writing on narrative, persuasive, or informative topics, fifth grade students in Troup County showed significant improvement on the state required writing test. With an average gain of 11 points per school, the system raised its percentage of students meeting and exceeding standards from 59% in 2007 to 71% in 2008. |
