MARC Protocol
When ordering MARC records for books/materials, Surpass recommends
the following be used:
USMARC 852 protocol (MICROLIF 1991) - also referred to as 852
holdings
When a vendor disk is received, the MARC format can be identified
by the filename on the disk. The following filename is used with
the 852/MicroLIF format:
MICROLIF.001 - USMARC/MicroLIF 1991
