The Georgia Library Association is a statewide organization for
library media specialists who work in school, public, academic and
special libraries. It is a state unit of the American Library
Association. The School Library Media Division is a unit of GLA
composed of school media specialists.

American Association of School Librarians, a division of the
American Library Association. This organization serves to
strengthen the ties between media specialists and teachers at a
professional level. It provides opportunities for exchange of
ideas, information and skills, and promotes various activities
throughout the school year.

Instructional Technology
The Georgia Association for Instructional Technology is the state
affiliate of the Association for Educational Communications and
Technology. The purpose of GAIT is to improve instruction through
the use of media and technology.

Judy Serritella, coordinator of library media services for the
state, periodically sends out valuable information and resources
for media specialists on this list service. "A must to join!"
