Economics is designed to prepare students with a solid content background in basic economic principles so they can apply economic concepts and skills to real world situations. The topics of study will include fundamental economics, micro-economics, macro-economics, international economics and personal finance. Throughout the course, students will enrich their economic vocabulary as well as their understanding of what drives the decisions people, businesses, and governments make each day. By the end of the course, students should be able to demonstrate mastery of the previous topics by connecting topics to form a base of knowledge. It is of up most importance that the students learn the material of each unit in order to prepare for quizzes, tests, system benchmark exams, finals, and the EOCT.
