05/17/19: School 2 Work Graduates Start Local Jobs Mauser

When Troup County School System (TCSS) seniors toss their graduation caps in the air next week as a culmination to the graduation ceremony, they will be entering the workforce stage of life. It has just gotten easier thanks to the School 2 Work partnership between LaGrange Development Authority and TCSS.

Recently, close to 30 students visited local advanced manufacturing companies because they are looking to go directly to work after graduation. In three days, they were able to see the inner workings of the organizations, meet hiring managers, and interview for available positions where they can graduate on Friday and become a working employee on Monday.

05/13/19: TCSS Parent Engagement Hosts Federal Program Discussion

Recently, TCSS hosted a parent engagement meeting to obtain feedback about federal programs offered within the school system. They also discussed TCSS's mission, vision, values, and system improvement plan. The video highlights the entire discussion. 
 

 

Congratulations!

Congratulations!! Mrs. Miranda Phillips is Hogansville Elementary's Teacher of the Month for April. Mrs. Phillips graduated in 2016 from Columbus State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has had 2 years experience teaching 1st grade, and 1 year experience teaching 4th grade Math and Science. Mrs. Phillips runs the Girls Who Code here at Hogansville and helps run Green Team. She also assists with Boys and Girls Club after school.

Literacy...It's A Hogansville Thing
