• School Closings/Delays:

Dear Troup County School System Community,

Governor Brian Kemp just issued an Executive Order mandating all schools in Georgia will remain closed for in-person instruction for the remainder of the school year. This includes TCSS.

Please note that current grade calculations will be based upon student mastery of material covered through March 12, 2020 which was the end of the third nine weeks grading period. Student learning will continue after our scheduled Spring Break. We don’t want our kids to lose the valuable knowledge and skills they have gained this school year. Teachers will be contacting their students and working with them to ensure additional opportunities are available for students to demonstrate mastery of previously covered material. More details will be available the week of April 13th.

At this time, we do not have any further updates. We know there are academic milestones and other events that our students and families were looking forward to this year. As updates are available, we will share them.

Over the past several weeks, our commitment to the students and the families of TCSS has been paramount. We will continue this commitment through the closure. Together, we will all get through this.

    Thank you,
    TCSS

           Spanish for Grangers

I have taught kids from 1st to 12th grade. For the last fourteen years, I have been doing what I love, teaching Spanish and sharing my culture.
I earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Nuevo Leon State University, and a Master of Art in Teaching from LaGrange College. It is my goal to inspire and motivate students to acquire a foreign language, because I know firsthand the importance of being bilingual.

I consider myself a lifelong learner and a passionate traveler. I'm always seeking for opportunities to learn, especially about new countries and cultures. I travel as much (and as far) as I possibly can and it's my desire to encourage my students to never stop learning and to see the world.

In this page, I will share some of my experiences, hoping they can inspire you and challenge your spirit to seek for adventure.
