PSAT -- Parent and Guardian information

PSAT

Callaway Middle School will be offering the PSAT, the Preliminary Scholastic Achievement Test, to 7th and 8th grade students on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. You can print the form by clicking here

The most common reasons for taking the PSAT are:

•To receive feedback on your strengths and weaknesses on skills necessary for college study. You can then focus your preparation on those areas that could most benefit from additional study or practice.

•To see how your performance on an admissions test might compare with that of others applying to college.

•To enter the competition for scholarships from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (grade 11).

•To help prepare for the SAT. You can become familiar with the kinds of questions and the exact directions you will see on the SAT.

•To receive information from colleges when you check "yes" to Student Search Service.

If your child is in the 7th or 8th grade and you would like for him/her to take the PSAT, please complete the permission slip below and send $18 on or before Tuesday, September 7th to the Counselor’s Office. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Troup County School System.

If you have questions, please contact the counselor’s office at 706-845-2080. You may print and submit the form below.
