The Troup County School System (TCSS) plans to offer school meal service to all students that have selected the virtual education option.
Breakfast and lunch meal kits containing meals for five days will be offered every Monday from 9:00 am to 11:00 a.m. at no cost for virtual students. Parents should pick up meals at their child’s school; however, parents with students attending different schools may pick up all meals at one location.
All breakfast meals will contain an entree, a fruit, a juice, and milk. All lunches will contain an entree, a juice, a fruit, a vegetable, and milk.
Parents that would like to pick up meals for their child enrolled in the virtual education option must pre-order meals by calling the Nutrition Department at 706-883-1588 between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Meal orders must be placed by 3:30 p.m. on Friday for the following week's meals. A new meal order must be placed each week for the following weeks' meals.
If an order is placed later than Friday at 3:30, meals will be distributed based on the remaining number of school days in that week. For example, if a meal is ordered on Monday at 2:00 p.m., four days of meals can be picked up on Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
***All student meals are currently free***
