The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Learning at Troup County School System is dedicated to building instructional capacity and supporting our schools from the district level to the classroom. We create high-quality learning environments aligned with the Georgia Standards.

What We Do

  • Professional Growth & Leadership Development: We build teacher and administrator capacity by leading dynamic professional learning for principals, ongoing training for teachers, and hosting our New Teacher Orientation to welcome and support educators entering the district.

  • Teaching & Learning: We drive Pre-K–12 curriculum development, align instructional strategies with state standards, and provide continuous coaching to ensure high-rigor classroom experiences.

  • Exceptional Education & Support Services: We direct specialized learning programs, accommodations, and wrap-around student services to foster inclusive, equitable, and supportive environments for all learners.

  • Student Success & Accountability: We manage district systems, monitor school performance, and coordinate targeted academic interventions to ensure every student makes measurable progress.

  • Analytics & Data Visualization: We transform complex educational metrics into clear, actionable data tools, equipping leaders and teachers to make informed decisions that directly impact classroom instruction.

The Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Learning Department is dedicated to cultivating engaging learning environments where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to become world-ready graduates. By providing educators with high-quality, job-embedded professional learning and connecting instruction to meaningful career exploration, we ensure teaching is innovative and impactful and students develop the skills, confidence, and purpose needed for success in college, careers, and life.
