Athletic Safety Guidelines

Gameday Road Closure

The Troup County School System wants to remind the community of several procedures for any athletic game at Callaway Stadium, including TCSS athletic facilities.

  1. Clear bags are only allowed in the game
  2. No full face mask or coverings
  3. No loitering before, during, or after the game
  4. Our current policy is that no student who has been suspended, assigned to The HOPE Academy, or has been expelled is allowed to attend school events
  5. No re-entry. There will be signs posted notifying attendees of that practice
  6. Everyone will be screened with a weapon detection system before entering the  stadium
  7. Elementary and Middle school students must be accompanied by an adult during the game
  8. High school students must have their student ID upon entry with their ticket to the game

The purpose of these security measures is to allow for a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all participants during the game.

Please be aware of several traffic control changes during the 2024 high school football season in the area of Callaway Stadium. Dallis Street will be closed from Panther Way/Forrest Avenue to Elm Street during every high school football game. The street will close 30 minutes before each game and will remain closed until 30 minutes after each game. The Dallis Street entrance and exit of the Callaway Auditorium parking lot will also be closed during these times. Spectators who wish to park in this area will be required to enter and exit the parking lot from Panther Way. Additionally, the Callaway Stadium visitor’s side parking lot will be accessible only from the Forrest Avenue entrance/exit. Car riders should be dropped off and picked up in the parking lot of the Department of Driver Services on Dallis Street. Finally, “tailgating” is not permitted on the property of LaGrange College during any high school football game this season.
