The Operations Department is dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and efficient environment for all students, staff, and visitors within the Troup County School System. As the largest department in the district outside of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Learning department, we manage the infrastructure and support services required to keep our schools running smoothly, making sure our educators and students can focus entirely on academic success.

From maintaining our facilities and coordinating daily transportation to fueling student with nutritious meals and providing classrooms with modern technology, our team works diligently behind the scenes to support the daily needs of the Troup County School System community.

Inside the Operations Department

Our department directly oversees the following areas:

• Custodial & Warehouse Services: Ensuring all campuses are clean and fully stocked with the essential supplies needed for daily operations.

• Energy Management: Monitoring and optimizing utility usage to ensure fiscal responsibility and environmental sustainability across the district.

• Facility & Maintenance: Managing routine upkeep, structural repairs, and long-term facility improvements to keep our buildings safe and operational.

• School Food Services & Nutrition: Providing healthy, balanced breakfasts and lunches daily to support the physical and mental well-being of our students.

• Technology: Implementing and maintaining the network infrastructure, hardware, and digital tools necessary.

• Transportation: Providing safe, reliable, bus transportation for thousands of students each day.
