When you think of a school technology department, you might just think of fixing laptops or resetting passwords. In reality, the Troup County School System Technology Department is the backbone of our daily operations, keeping more than 12,000 students and over 1,300 employees safely and efficiently connected.

The department has 22 total employees: 

• 13 technology specialists
• 2 utility technicians
• 3 instructional technology staff members 
• 1 Network Engineer 
• 1 Network Administrator 
• 1 Administrative Assistant 
• 1 Director 

The Technology department is responsible for various types of technology, including intercoms, surveillance systems, fire alarms, burglar alarms, vape sensors, Kloud12 cameras, printers, scanners, document cameras, sound systems, ActivPanels, Promethean boards, projectors, and access control systems.
