School Board

The Troup County Board of Education is comprised of seven members elected by the people. They serve four-year terms and are elected by districts on a staggered basis. Board members annually elect their chair and vice-chair.

The Troup County Board of Education sets district policy and appoints a superintendent, who in turn selects administrators to head the system's administrative divisions and carry out the Board's policies.

Meetings are held in the Board Room of the Administrative Services Center at 100 North Davis Road, Building C, LaGrange, Georgia.
