STOPit
The STOPit anonymous reporting app is a tool designed to deter and promptly address instances of bullying, school violence, self-harm, and inappropriate behaviors. With STOPit, users can anonymously submit tips, attach photo or video evidence, and privately message school leaders with the necessary information to help everyone involved.
How STOPit Works
The app has three main buttons, each designed for a different kind of support:
- Get Resources
- Provides local listings for food, clothing, shelter, and other basic needs
- Offers self-help tools and guidance for challenges like:
- Anxiety and depression
- Breakups and grief
- Helping friends during tough times
- Crisis Counseling Button
- Connect students and families with crisis counseling resources
- Conversations are secure, private, and designed to help you go from feeling overwhelmed to feeling in control
- Submit a Tip
- Allows you to communicate anonymously with trusted school adults (principals, counselors, social workers)
- How it works:
- Tap Submit a Tip
- Scroll through the list of incident types and select the one that best matches your concern
- Tap Save at the bottom of the screen
- Answer the follow-up questions, providing as much detail as possible
- Tap Submit to send the tip
- Tips are taken seriously and reviewed by school leadership and counselors
- False reports are investigated—this is a tool we must protect to keep it safe for everyone
